After the fusion of sperm and egg, fertilized ovum or zygote is formed. A zygote has the ability to develop into an organism. However, after four days cells within the new organism starts specializing and thus form blastocyst which has an outer layer of cells and an inner cell mass that eventually forms different tissue and organs.
