Answer:

1.7L of water.

Explanation:

Given parameters:

Volume of hydrogen gas = 1.7L

Unknown:

Volume of water produced = ?

Solution:

A synthesis reaction is one in which two compounds or molecules combines together to give a product or products.

Synthesis of water from hydrogen gas is represented by the equation below:

                           2H₂    +        O₂     →    2H₂O

We clearly see that;

                       2 mole of hydrogen gas gives 2 mole of water as the product;

From Gay-lussac's law of combining volume "when gases react, they do so in volumes which bear a simple ratio to one another and to the volume of the product if gaseous, temperature and pressure remaining constant".

                2H₂    +        O₂     →    2H₂O

   2 volumes of hydrogen gas will produce 2 volumes of water

  1.7L of hydrogen gas will also produce ; 1.7L of water.

OVER 200 POINTS- THIS QUESTION IS POSTED TWICE ON MY PROFILE FOR 100 POINTS EACH AND IT IS POSTED A COUPLE TIMES FOR 30 POINTS.
Natali5045456 [20]

Answer:

The molality ( m ) of a solution is the moles of solute divided by the kilograms of solvent. A solution that contains 1.0 mol of NaCl dissolved into 1.0 kg of water is a “one-molal” solution of sodium chloride. The symbol for molality is a lower-case m written in italics.

In order to calculate the molality of a solution divide the moles of solute by the volume of the solution expressed in liters.

Consider the sodium borohydride reduction of camphor to isoborneol. A reaction was performed in which 1.600 g of camphor was red
ki77a [65]

Answer:

62.5%

Explanation:

Number of moles of camphor reacted= 1.6g/152.23 g/mol = 0.011 moles

Since the reaction is 1:1, then 0.011 moles of isoborenol is also produced.

Theoretical yield of isoborenol produced = 154.25 g/mol * 0.011 moles = 1.698 g

% yield = actual yield/theoretical yield * 100

% yield =  1.062 g/1.698 g * 100

% yield =  62.5%

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN ELECTRIC CURRENT PASSES THROUGH ACIDIFIED WATER.
mario62 [17]

Answer:

When an electric current is passed through acidified water, it decomposes to give hydrogen and oxygen gas. The hydrogen gas is obtained at the cathode and the oxygen gas is obtained at the anode

Passenger airplanes take off in the troposphere but can eventually move into
zhuklara [117]
Well that is because the stratosphere has lower temperatures and low air density. This gives the airplane less air pressure and with low air density they can fly faster :) Hope this helps.
