Answer:

a) $\frac{\sqrt{15} }{\sqrt{5}}\cdot  \frac{\sqrt{5} }{\sqrt{5}}=\frac{\sqrt{75} }{5}=\frac{5\sqrt{3}}{5}=\sqrt{3} $

or simply

$\frac{\sqrt{15}}{\sqrt{5}}=\sqrt{\frac{15}{5}}=\sqrt{3}$

b)$\frac{\sqrt{3}\:}{\sqrt{6}} \cdot \frac{\sqrt{6}\:}{\sqrt{6}}=\frac{\sqrt{18} }{6}=\frac{3\sqrt{2} }{6}=\frac{\sqrt{2} }{2}   $

or

$\frac{\sqrt{3}}{\sqrt{6}}=\sqrt{\frac{3}{6}}=\sqrt{\frac{1}{2}}$

$\sqrt{\frac{1}{2}}=\frac{\sqrt{2} }{2} $

The local rodeo has a circular Pin , with a diameter of 48 feet , in which keep the horses what is the circumference or the hors
Alchen [17]

Answer:

The circumference of the horse pin is 150.86 feet

Step-by-step explanation:

In this question, we are to calculate the circumference of the horse pin, given that the diameter is 48 feet.

Mathematically, the circumference can be calculated using the formula

C = 2 * pi * r

where r = D/2 = 48/2 = 24 feet

The circumference C is thus = 2 * 22/7 * 24 = 1056/7 = 150.86 feet

What is the period of the function f(x)=sin(x/3) ?
vitfil [10]
<h3>Answer: 6pi radians</h3>

(this is equivalent to 1080 degrees)

======================================

Explanation:

f(x) = sin(x/3)

is the same as

f(x) = 1*sin( (1/3)(x-0) )+0

and that is in the form

f(x) = A*sin( B(x-C) )+D

The letters A,B,C,D are explained below

A = helps find the amplitude

B = 2pi/T, where T is the period

C = determines phase shift (aka left/right shifting)

D = determines vertical shift = midline

All we care about is the value of B as that is the only thing that is connected to the period T

--------

Compare f(x) = 1*sin( (1/3)(x-0) )+0 with f(x) = A*sin( B(x-C) )+D and we see that B = 1/3, so,

B = 2pi/T

1/3 = 2pi/T

1*T = 3*2pi ... cross multiply

T = 6pi

The period is 6pi radians. This is equivalent to 1080 degrees. To convert from radians to degrees, you multiply by (180/pi).
