- 3x + 4y = - 11
y = 2x - 4

-3x + 4(2x - 4) = -11
-3x + 8x - 16 = - 11
5x = -11 + 16
5x = 5
x = 5/5
x = 1

y = 2x - 4
y = 2(1) - 4
y = 2 - 4
y = -2

Solution: (1, -2)

Let's go ma dude,

-3x + 4y = -11

y = 2x - 4

We know that y = 2x - 4 so we plug it into the first equation:

-3x + 4(2x - 4) = -11

-3x + 8x - 16 = -11

5x - 16 = -11

5x = 5

x = 1

Now we know that x = 1 so we plug it into the first/ second equation:

-3(1) + 4y = -11

-3 + 4y = -11

4y = -8

y = -2

And walla ur answer is reddy!

F(x) = 3x + 6. Find the inverse of f(x).
Levart [38]

Answer:

\tt C) \:\tt f^{-1}(x)=\cfrac{x-6}{3}

Step-by-step explanation:

We're given,

\tt f(x) = 3x + 6

~

\tt y=3x+6

\tt x=3y+6

\tt x-6=3y

\tt y=\cfrac{x-6}{3}

\tt f^{-1}(x)=\cfrac{x-6}{3}
