Answer:

There are formula for it if the diameter is given.  instead of converting to radius, you can use πd.

Area of a circle is πr² or πd

Hope this helps

God bless you.

Answer:

Divide the diameter by 2 and insert for radius in the equation

Step-by-step explanation:

To find the area of a circle, we can use the equation <em>A=pir^2 </em>or <em>area=pi*radius squared.</em>

The radius is half of the diameter, so just divide the diameter by 2 and plug it into the equation.

Hope this helps!

Given that f(x) = x2 + 2x + 3 and g(x) = quantity of x plus four, over three , solve for f(g(x)) when x = 2.
Sidana [21]
f(x)=x^2+2x+3
g(x)=\frac{x+4}{3}
f(g(x))=(\frac{x+4}{3})^2+2(\frac{x+4}{3})+3
f(g(x))=\frac{x^2+8x+16}{9}+\frac{2x+8}{3}+3
f(g(2))=\frac{2^2+8(2)+16}{9}+\frac{2(2)+8}{3}+3
f(g(2))+\frac{4+16+16}{9}+\frac{4+8}{3}+3
f(g(2))=\frac{36}{9}+\frac{12}{3}+3
f(g(2))=4+4+3
f(g(2)=11

Check:
g(2)=(2+4)/3=2
f(2)=2^2+2(2)+3=4+4+3=11  Checks.

Write a polynomial of least degree with rational coefficients, a leading coefficient of 1, and zeros at 3 and sqr root 7. Expand
Tresset [83]

Answer:

(x-3)(x^2-7) = x^3 -3x^2 -7x + 21

just change the sign of the root and put x in front of it, then multiply the factors all together

(x-3)(x-sqr7)(x+sqr7)    roots come in conjugate pairs to eliminate irrational coefficients

(x-sqr7)(x+sqr7) = x^2-7.  similar to (a-b)(a+b) = a^2-b^2
