Explanation:

Ophthalmia Neonatorum is an eye infection that affects newborns within the first 30 days after birth. It is also known as “conjunctivitis of the newborn) and is caused by contact of the newborn’s eyes with the birth canal of a mother who has an untreated sexually-transmitted infection like Gonnorrhea.

All of the following expressions are equal except _____. 2 ^ -3 8 1/8 2^1/2^4 math
Brilliant_brown [7]

Explanation:

Option 1 is 2^{-3}

Property is : x^{-y}=\dfrac{1}{x^y}

So, 2^{-3}=\dfrac{1}{2^3}=\dfrac{1}{8}

Option 2 is 8\dfrac{1}{8}

We can write it as : 8\dfrac{1}{8}=\dfrac{8(8)+1}{8}=\dfrac{65}{8}

Option 3 is \dfrac{2^1}{2^4}

Property is : \dfrac{x^a}{x^b}=x^{a-b}

So,

\dfrac{2^1}{2^4}=\dfrac{1}{2^3}\\\\=2^{-3}\\\\=\dfrac{1}{8}

It is clear that option a and c are same. But option b is different.

How effective are oral medications, such as bupropion (Wellbutrin, Zyban, Budeprion) or varenicline (Chantix), in helping smoker
Svetllana [295]

Bupropion and Varenicline, both medicines reduce the craving for smoking by inhibiting the connection of nicotine and dopamine in the brain.

Effect of the Oral medicines in quitting smoking:

To quit smoking, the Food and Drug Administration approved Smoking cessation products to help in getting rid of smoking. These products are in the form of tablets that do not contain nicotine. These tablets are Bupropion and Varenicline( Chantix) and react with the dopamine center in the brain. With every smoking, the nicotine stimulates to release of dopamine which in turn triggers the brain to release more dopamine and thus causing frequent smoking in the person.

Because Chantix doesn't contain nicotine, it prevents dopamine from being released, and bupropion works as an antidepressant to calm the brain's nerves, reducing the need and sensation to smoke. Together, these two medications support smoking cessation.
