What is an independent variable?
Alexus [3.1K]
The independent variable is the variable that you change and control in your experiment. The dependent variable is the one you don't have control over and is affected by how the independent variable reacts.

For Example:
Let's say you're doing an experiment seeing how different sugars affect the density of cupcakes. The type of sugar you add would be the independent variable, because you are choosing it. The density would be the dependent variable, since it depends on the sugar used.

Scientists believe that California is past due for a major earthquake in the 6.0-8.0 range that could happen any day now. Hope this helps :)

Which Of The Following Most Accurately describe the result of cell division without differentiation?
suter [353]
Hmm...,
Well from what I'm getting, I feel like the cell would just be replication itself. Cell differentiation is the process by which a cell gets placed, or destined, to become a particular type of cell.
So, if a cell was to go undergo cell division with out cell differentiation, this most likely means it is going under the DNA replication process, AK.A- splitting the mother cell to create daughter cells.

Meteorologists draw lines called ______ on weather maps to connect locations with the same air pressure.
natta225 [31]

The correct answer is isobar.

The isobars refer to the lines of constant pressure. It is a line drawn on a map of a weather linking the points of equivalent pressure. The isobars are produced from mean sea level pressure reports and the values of pressure are illustrated in millibars.

The isobars help in demonstrating that how pressure are changing over space and so assist in illustrating the large-scale weather patterns across a region on the map.
