Answer:

c. $11,480

Explanation:

Given that

Cost recovery allowed                Cost recovery allowable

Year 1         $16,000                                                $8,000

Year 2        $9,600                                                  $12,800

Year 3        $5,760                                                  $7,680

The computation of gain should Tara recognize is shown below:-

Cost                                           $40,000

Less:

Greater cost of recovery

allowable or allowed

Year 1                $16,000

Year 2               $12,800

Year 3               $7,680            $36,480

Adjusted basis                          $3,520

Gain to be recognized = Residual value - Adjusted basis

= $15,000 - $3,520

= $11,480

So, for computing the gain to be recognized we simply deduct the adjust basis from residual value.

In a fairly large portfolio, the ...................... risk associated with one stock typically has no impact on the portfolio
Yanka [14]

Answer:

Unsystematic; unsystematic

Explanation:

In the case of the large portfolio, the non-systematic risk that could be attached would have no effect on the total risk of the portfolio

So it is to be expected that the impact should be of non-systematic risk on different kind of stock that could be offset each other in order to remove out the risk to the investor that occurs from the sources of the risk

The contribution margin is determined by subtracting _______.
sineoko [7]

Answer:

c. variable product and variable period cost from sales.

Explanation:

Contribution Margin is obtained by subtracting the total variable costs from the sales. This is also known as direct costing. Deducting fixed expenses from the contribution margin yields profit . Contribution margin is used in various ratios such as the contribution margin ratio and break even sales is also determined by using it sometimes. Contribution margin is a tool for managers as sales figures guide cost figures. The variable cost of goods sold varies directly with sales volume and the influence of production on profit is eliminated.by deducting only the variable product costs and not the variable period costs we get gross contribution margin. After deducting the variable period costs we get the contribution margin.

True or false: you always want the lowest possible deductible because it means you will pay less out of pocket in case of a loss
stiv31 [10]
The correct answer is false.

The given statement is false, why? You cannot always want the lowest deductible since it may only be applied once something has happened that points out towards you, or in other words, it is your fault. An example of lowest deductible is when you get into a car accident and it was your fault, the total repair cost of the vehicle is at 1,400.00 dollars, your lowest deductible would be around 500 dollars, wherein you have to add it to the balance before your insurance company pays for the rest
