Endoplasmic reticulumn and Golgi appararus are involved in transportation and modification or synthesis of macromolecules
Example; Insulin enters the Endoplasmic reticulumn in 'proinsuline' (Inactive) form and it is converted to its active form 'Insulin' in Endoplasmic reticulumn . Then it is transported to cytoplasam through Golgi apparatus. On the stimulation of beta cells insulin is secreted out of cell.
