america stopped racism since a long time yet why is there such racist words and expressions in the book

The potentially racist language in Huckleberry Finn is what makes it what it is. Without it, prejudices in that time would be overlooked or glossed over. It is a critical element in the book and students shouldn't be seen as too immature to handle crude language when it comes to American history and literature.
