I got that it is -3

So what I did I added 1 plus 1 and then crossed it out then I added 14plus 1 and got 15 then I divided -5 by -5 and then it gets crossed out then I divided 15 by -5 and got -3
So R=3
Thank you and tell me if you got it correct

Solve the inequality y^2-3y greater than 18 sorry couldn't find the greater than sign
kupik [55]

Answer:

y > 6 or y < -3

Step-by-step explanation:

y² - 3y > 18

Complete the square.

y² - 3y + 9/4 > 18 + 9/4

y² - 3y + 9/4 > 81/4

(y - 3/2)² > 81/4

y - 3/2 > 9/2, or y - 3/2 < -9/2

y > 6 or y < -3

Use the sample data and confidence level to construct the confidence interval estimate of the population proportion p. n=500, x=
DiKsa [7]

Answer:

0.3581<x<0.4429

Step-by-step explanation:

Using the formula for calculating the confidence interval of the population proportion p expressed as:

Confidence interval = p ± Z * √p(1-p)/n

p is the population proportion = x/n

p = 200/500

p = 0.4

Z is the z-score at 95% CI = 1.96

n is the sample size = 500

Substituting the given parameters into the formula we will have;

Confidence interval = 0.4 ± 1.96 * √p(1-p)/n

Confidence interval = 0.4 ± 1.96 * √0.4(0.6)/500

Confidence interval = 0.4 ± 1.96 * √0.24/500

Confidence interval = 0.4 ± 1.96 * √0.00048

Confidence interval = 0.4 ± 1.96 * 0.0219

Confidence interval = 0.4±0.04294

Confidence interval = (0.3571, 0.4429)

Hence the confidence interval of the population mean is 0.3581<x<0.4429
