This statement is false, it is not true that any polygon with two pairs of parallel opposite sides is considered to be a parallelogram for it is defined opposite than that. That is why the correct answer in the statement above is that it is false.

The given statement is

Any polygon with two pairs of parallel opposite sides is a parallelogram.

A parallelogram have 4 sides  and a polygon can have 3,4,5,6,7,8,  or any number of sides.

So it is not necessary that if opposite sides are parallel in a polygon than it is a parallelogram .

Therefore the given statement is false .

  • Distance Formula [3D]: d = \sqrt{(x_2-x_1)^2+(y_2-y_1)^2+(z_2-z_1)^2}

Step-by-step explanation:

<u>Step 1: Define</u>

Point A(1, 2, -1)

Point B(-3, -6, 2)

Point C(3, -2, 0)

<u>Step 2: Find Point D</u>

Simply plug in your coordinates B and C into the midpoint formula to find midpoint

  1. Substitute [MF]:                    (\frac{-3+3}{2},\frac{-6-2}{2}, \frac{2+0}{2} )
  2. Add/Subtract:                       (\frac{0}{2},\frac{-8}{2}, \frac{2}{2} )
  3. Divide:                                  (0,-4, 1 )

<u>Step 3: Find distance </u><em><u>d</u></em>

Simply plug in the 2 coordinates A and D into the distance formula to find distance <em>d</em>

  1. Substitute [DF]:                    d = \sqrt{(0-1)^2+(-4-2)^2+(1+1)^2}
  2. Subtract/Add:                       d = \sqrt{(-1)^2+(-6)^2+(2)^2}
  3. Exponents:                           d = \sqrt{1+36+4}
  4. Add:                                      d = \sqrt{41}

The measure of the angle x is 117 degrees

<h3>Line geometry.</h3>

To determine the value of x in the given diagram, we will use the alternate angles theorem

The value of x is expressed as shown;

p + q= x

If the value of p = 51, then;

51 + q. = x

Determine the value of. q

q = 108 - 42

q = 66

Determine the value of x

x = 66 + 51

x = 117 degrees

Hence the measure of the angle x is 117 degrees

In the diagram, ABCDE is a regular pentagon.
RSB [31]

The shape ABCDE is a regular pentagon with five sides, such that the five sides are congruent

<h3>Part A: Calculate ∠BAE</h3>

The angle BAE is a vertex angle, and it is calculated using:

BAE = 180 * (n - 2)/n

Where n= 5; i.e. the number of sides.

This gives:

BAE = 180 * (5 - 2)/5

Evaluate

BAE = 108°

Hence, the measure of angle BAE is 108°

<h3>Part B: The name of the quadrilateral ABCD</h3>

When the vertices A and B are joined together, the shape becomes a trapezoid.

Hence, the name of the quadrilateral ABCD is a trapezoid.

<h3>Part C (i) Calculate ∠EDX</h3>

See attachment for the new figure.

From the attached figure, we have:

∠EDX + ∠EDC = 180° ---- the sum of angles on a straight line

Where:

∠EDC = ∠BAE = 108°

So, we have:

∠EDX + 108° = 180°

Subtract 108° from both sides

∠EDX = 72°

Hence, the measure of angle EDX is 72 degrees

<h3>Part C (ii) What type of quadrilateral is BDXE?</h3>

The quadrilateral BDXE is a parallelogram.

This is so because the opposite sides of BDXE are parallel, but not congruent

What is the name of the two types of graph relationships?
GrogVix [38]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:The formal term to describe a straight line graph is linear, whether or not it goes through the origin, and the relationship between the two variables is called a linear relationship. Similarly, the relationship shown by a curved graph is called non-linear.
