Militarism i feel had the most impact on the cause of WW1 cause the greater one army got the greater other countries armies. The thing that had the second greatest impact would be Imperialism, each nation wanted colonies so their wealth and influence was greater. Britain and France had lots of colonies in Africa and Asia. But then Germany and Italy wanted colonies of their own which was already a global competition. How the alliances were set was the third impact that didn't have alot of impact but still decided how the war turned out. From the start the Triple Alliance was surrounded by the Triple Entente which was a disadvantage. Then the ting that had the least impact would be Nationalism. Each country thinks that their country is the best, but the political views of each country was pretty much the same.
