Answer:

You first work out the radius, as below:

Area = pi x radius^2

=> radius = sqrt(Area/pi)

Then, you find out circumference C.

=> C = 2 x pi x radius

Hope this helps!

Find the next three sequence of 1,3, 9, 27,<br>
Andreyy89

Answer: 81, 243, 729

Step-by-step explanation:

<u>STEP ONE: Find a pattern in the sequence</u>

3 ÷ 1 = 3

9 ÷ 3 = 3

27 ÷ 9 = 3

As we can see from the given sequence, each number multiplies 3 to get the next term.

<u>STEP TWO: Find the next three terms</u>

27 × 3 = 81

81 × 3 = 243

243 × 3 = 729

Hope this helps!! :)

balandron [24]

Answer:

0.9905,0.9837,0.8066

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that 10%  of all steel shafts produced by a certain process are nonconforming but can be reworked (rather than having to be scrapped).

Each shaft is independent of the other and probability for non conforming is the same for each trial.

Hence X the among these that are nonconforming and can be reworked. is Bin with n =200 and p = 0.10

a) P(X\leq 30) = 0.9905

b) P(X

c) P(15\leq x\leq 25)\\= F(25)-F(14)\\= 0.8995-0.0929\\= 0.8066

Write an equation for the translation of y = |x|. 6 units down A.y = |x| + 6 B.y = |x| – 6 C. y – 6 = |x| D.y = |–6x|
MrRa [10]
I believe it is B, because going down would be negative, and it is subtracting 6.

Find the values of sin2u, cos2u, and tan2u given the figure.
Vadim26 [7]

Givens

y = 2

x = 1

z(the hypotenuse) = √(2^2 + 1^2)  = √5

Cos(u) = x value / hypotenuse = 1/√5

Sin(u) = y value / hypotenuse = 2/√5

Solve for sin2u

Sin(2u) = 2*sin(u)*cos(u)

Sin(2u) = 2(\dfrac{1}{\dsqrt{5}} * \frac{2}{\dsqrt{5}} = \dfrac{2}{5}) = 4/5

Solve for cos(2u)

cos(2u) = - sqrt(1 - sin^2(2u))

Cos(2u) = - sqrt(1 - (4/5)^2 )

Cos(2u) = -sqrt(1 - 16/25)

cos(2u) = -sqrt(9/25)

cos(2u) = -3/5

Solve for Tan(2u)

tan(2u) = sin(2u) / cos(2u) = 4/5// - 3/5 = - 0.8/0.6 = - 1.3333 = - 4/3

Notes

One: Notice that you would normally rationalize the denominator, but you don't have to in this case.  The formulas are such that they perform the rationalizations themselves.

Two: Notice the sign on the cos(2u). The sin is plus even though the angle (2u) is in the second quadrant. The cos is different. It is about 126 degrees which would make it a negative root (9/25)

Three: If you are uncomfortable with the  tan, you could do fractions.

\text{tan(2u)} = \dfrac{\dfrac{4}{5}}{\dfrac{-3}{5} } =\dfrac{4}{5} *\dfrac{5}{-3} =\dfrac{4}{-3}
