I'm not entirely sure if I'm correct with this, but I'll try...
Adolescence has to do something with mentality, or how the brain works. It occurs from things like family issues, depression, anxiety, substance abuse, (substance: drugs) sexual abuse, violence, things like that. Men are more likely to suffer from it (I think).
Welp, I've thrown in my two cents, sorry if It's incorrect, at least I tried, lol.
I would say that active transport is the answer because it's from LOW concentration to HIGH concentrations, so it's going against the concentration gradients.
