Answer:

Winston took a very good decision.

Explanation:

If Winston is making economic profit then the decision is good

Economic profit=Total revenue-implicit cost - explicit costs

where,

implicit cost= opportunity cost of best alternative and explicit cost is accounting costs

=150000-(60000+4000)-8000

=78.000

The economic profit is positive, a good indicator that Winston took a good decision.

Brrunno [24]

The prime rate is the base rate for any financial transaction. The prime rate is considered for each type of lending instruments by the bank. bank add a margin % over the prime rate and offer loan/instrument at the increased rate.

In the given case, the BestBank's Visa credit card discloses an A.P.R. of "Prime Rate + 5.74% to Prime Rate + 22.74%, which means the A.P.R is calculated on the basis of Prime rate and any change in prime rate will directly affect the A.P.R.

The Prime Rate has increased from 3.25% to 4.25%, it means the increase of 1%. Hence the A.P.R. Shall also increase by 1%.

Hence the correct answer is:

b. Increase in A.P.R by 1%

A local university has a student population that is 55% male. 60% of students are undergraduates. 38% are both male and undergra
Mandarinka [93]

The probability that a randomly selected student is female and an undergraduate = 37%

The probability of being female or an undergraduate= 1.05

The male students

The male population = 55%

Therefore female population would be 1 - 0.55 = 45%

Undergraduates = 60%

The male undergraduate = 38%

Therefore female undergraduates = 60%-38%

= 22%

a. The probability that a randomly selected student is an undergraduate and female

= \frac{0.22}{0.60}

= 37%

B. The probability that the student is female or undergraduate

P(A or B)

= Probability of female = 45/100

Probability of undergraduate = 60/100

= 0.45 + 0.60

= 1.05

irina1246 [14]

Answer:

The world's sustained economic growth has only been occurring over the last 300 to 400 years.

Explanation:

It is more accurate to say that sustained economic growth occurred over the last 300 to 400 years by considering when economic data became available.

Also, we need to bear in mind that a sustained economic growth implies a measurable period of economic expansion (growth).
