Answer:

63° NE

Explanation:

the direction of a vector is calculated using the formula

tanθ=\frac{v_{y} }{v_{x} }

where θ=angle resultant vector makes with the horizontal

vₓ=20m/s

v_{y}=40m/s

tanθ=\frac{40}{20}

tanθ=2

θ=tan⁻¹ 2

θ=63.43°

θ=63° to 2 significant figures

the vectors direction = 63°NE

Since both v_x and v_y are positive, the angle the vector v makes with the positive x axis is given by

\tan^{-1}\dfrac{v_y}{v_x}=\tan^{-1}2\approx63.4^\circ

i.e. 63.4 degrees North of East.

Calculate the temperature increase in a 1.00-kg sample of water that results from the conversion of gravitational potential ener
Llana [10]

To solve this problem it is necessary to apply the concepts concerning the conservation of both potential and thermodynamic energy of the body. That is to say that as the body has a loss of potential energy it is gained in the form of thermal energy on water. If the potential energy is defined as

PE = mgh

Where,

m= mass

g = Gravitational acceleration

h = Height

And thermal energy is obtained as

Q = mC_p\Delta T

Where,

\Delta T = Change in Temperature

C_p = Specific Heat

m = Mass

We can equate this equation and rearrange to find the change at the Temperature, then

mgh = mC_p\Delta T

\Delta T = \frac{gh}{C_p}

Our values are given as,

C_p = 4186J/Kg\cdot K \rightarrow Specific Heat Water

Using energy conservation

g = 9.8m/s^2

h = 807m

Replacing,

\Delta T = \frac{(9.8)(807)}{4186}

\Delta T = 1.89K

Therefore the temperature increase in a 1kg sample of water is 1.89K

How much power is required to lift a 2.0 kg mass at a speed of 2.0 m/s? a. 2.0 W c. 9.8 W b. 4.0 W d. 39 W
liberstina [14]

Answer:

d: 39W

Explanation:

Power(P) = w/t = F*d/t = F*v = m*a*v= 2*9.8*2 = 39.2W

The wavelengths corresponding to the harmonics of an organ pipe that is open at one end and closed at the other can be found by
Alecsey [184]

Answer:

The answer is "Option D"

Explanation:

Its ranges referring to the harmonic currents of its organ pipe which are open at one end and shut at another side could be noticed saying whether a strange amount of quarter-wavelengths should equal the length of its pipe. It's also the fourth wavelengths principle to have enough space and consume a minimum of 25% of our design frequency, as we're going to be taking 40 Hz.
