First thing to do is to switch the x and the y and then solve for the new y. Easier said than done! Here's our equation with the switch: x=2 ^{y} +6. We need to get that y out from inside that exponent. This is an exponential equation, and the inverse of an exponential equation is a log equation. Let's do some simplifying here first: x-6=2 ^{y}. The 2 is now the base of our log (x-6) so now we have y=log _{2} (x-6), which is the last choice above.

Adonis created a rectangular play area for his dog in his backyard. The length of the long side was 10ft and the length of the s
Drupady [299]

Answer:

The perimeter of the dog's play area is 30 ft

Step-by-step explanation:

Rectangle:

  • The opposite sides are congruent.
  • The opposite angles are congruent.
  • The sum of all four angles of a rectangle is 360°.
  • The sum of two adjacent angles of a rectangle is 180°.
  • The diagonals bisect each other.
  • The perimeter of a rectangle is = 2(Length+width)
  • The area of a rectangle is = Length × width

Given that,

The length of the long side of the dog's play area was = 10 ft.

So, Length of dog's play area is = 10 ft.

The length of the short side of the dog's play area was = 5 ft.

So, width of dog's play area is = 5 ft.

It is a rectangular plot.

So, the perimeter of the dog's play area is =2(Length+width)

                                                                      =2(10+5) ft

                                                                      =2(15) ft

                                                                      =30 ft

Solve for X
A) 13
B) 5
C) 14
D) 1
Drupady [299]

Answer:

B) 5

Circle is 360 degr. So (21x+9) +(23x-5) +(26x+6)=360

Combine like terms 70x+10=360

Additive inverse -10 from both sides, 70x= 350

Divide both side by 70 division Property of Equality x=5.

Check your answer by substituting 5 back into original solution!
