y/5 = x

multiply by 5 on each sides

y = 5x

There you go! I really hope this helped, if there's anything just let me know! :)

First you divide by 1/5 from both sides of equation form.

And it gave us ⇒ \frac{1}{5}y/1/5=\frac{x}{1/5}

y=5x

Final answer: ⇒ \boxed{y=5x}

Hope this helps!

And thank you for posting your question at here on brainly, and have a great day.

Lin solved the equation 8(x-3)+7=2x(4-17) incorrectly. Find the errors in her solution. What should her answer have been?
Irina-Kira [14]

Answer: The correr solution is x=\frac{17}{34}

Step-by-step explanation:

Since the steps in Lin's solution are not shown, we are not able to find her erros. However, we can solve it step by step and find the correct result:

8(x-3)+7=2x(4-17)

Firstly, in the left part of the equation we have to multiply 8 by the numbers inside the parenthesis; and in the right side we have to solve first what is inside the parenthesis:

8x-24+7=2x(-13)

Adding similar terms in the left side and multiplying 2x by the number inside the parenthesis in the right side:

8x-17=-26 x

Isolating x:

x=\frac{17}{34} This is the correct solution

A dealer buys oranges for 100000, he sold 60% of them for buying price, he sold 50% of the remaining for profit of 60% then he s
suter [353]

Based on the amount of oranges bought, those sold at a profit and those sold at a loss, the overall profit is 14.2%

<h3>What is the overall profit?</h3>

Assume that the buying price was $1 each.

The amount earned from 60% of them is:

= 60% x 100,000 x 1

= $60,000

The profit from selling 50% of the remaining is:

= (50% x 40,000) x 1.60

= $32,000

The loss from selling the other 50%:

= (50% x 40,000) x 0.90

= $22,222.22

Total selling price:

= 60,000 + 32,000 + 22,222.22

= $114,222.22

Total profit:

= (114,222.22 - 100,000) / 100,000

= 14.2%

What is the y-intercept of the line?
8090 [49]

Answer:

34

Step-by-step explanation:

We start by working out the slope. The slope is change in y over change in x, so (66-58)/(-56)-(-42) is the slope here. 66-58 is 8, and -56-(-42) is -14. -8/14=-4/7. The equation of a line in slope-intercept form is y=mx+b where b is the y intercept and m is the slope. Since the slope is -4/7, then y=-4/7x+b. We then insert any x and y pair into this equation and solve for b, the y intercept to get it. (We can do ANY pair) So, 50=(-4/7)(-28)+b.

: 50=16+b

: 50-16=b

: 34=b

So, in conclusion, the y intercept is 34. Hope this helps!
