We can say L as length and W as the width

L= 3w + 8

The formula for perimeter is 2L + 2W = P. We can substitute L in as "3w+8" to make the equation...

2(3w+8)+2w=88        Now, we can simplify by distributing the 2 to each term
6w+16+2w=88
8w+16=88               Then subtract 16 from each side..
8w=72
w=9

So the width is 9, so we can substitue that into the previous equation, L = 3w+8.

L=3(9)+8
L=27+8
L=35, W=9

PLEASE HELP! 100 POINTS!

Answer:

Mrs. Etercsid

Step-by-step explanation:

One thing we can do is just multiply the averages by the percents in each class and compare from there.

To get from percentages to decimals, we can divide by 100.

For Mr. Tats:

Homework: 25 % -> 0.25

Participation: 10% -> 0.1

Test: 40% -> 0.4

Final: 0.25 -> 0.25

For Mrs. Etercsid:

Homework: 15% -> 0.15

Participation: 10% -> 0.1

Test: 60% -> 0.6

Final: 15% -> 0.15

We can then multiply the averages by the decimals for each teacher and add them up.

Mr. Tats:

0.25 * 81 + 0.1 * 57 + 0.4 * 93 + 0.25 * 87 = 84.9

Mrs. Etercsid:

0.15 * 81 + 0.1 * 57 + 0.6 * 93 + 0.15 * 87 = 86.7

You would get the higher grade with Mrs. Etercsid

Find the length of the line segment whose endpoints are (-5,6) and (6,6)
umka21 [38]

Answer: 11 units

Step-by-step explanation:

Use the distance formula: \sqrt{(x_{2}-x_{1})^{2}+(y_{2}-y_{1})^{2} }

(x_{1}, y_{1})=(-5, 6)\\(x_{2}, y_{2})=(6, 6)\\\\\sqrt{(6-(-5)^{2}+(6-6)^{2}} =\sqrt{(11)^{2}+(0)^{2}} =\sqrt{121+0}=\sqrt{121}=11

Use the drawing tools to form the correct answers on the grid.

Answer:

The function f(x)= \frac{1}{x^2+2} is continuous for all real numbers

Step-by-step explanation:

To know the possible points of discontinuity of this function, we must find out when the denominator of the function is equal to 0.

The denominator is:

x ^ 2 + 2

Then we equal 0 and clear x

x ^ 2 +2 = 0\\\\x ^ 2 = -2

x ^ 2> 0 for any real number.

This means that

x ^ 2 +2> 0 <em>for all reals numbers</em>.

Therefore, the function f(x)= \frac{1}{x^2+2} is <em>continuous</em> for all real numbers, that is, it does not have discontinuities.

The graphic of this function is shown in the image
