Hi , cytoplasmic streaming is actually circulating around in the cell . It moves and by doing do it can help move organelles and harmful/helpful chemicals to where they need to be in the cell , so that's why cytoplasmic streaming is also called active mass movement of cytoplasm.

Because the cytoplasm is actually circulating around in the cell. It's not just a "gel-like" substance that sits statically. It moves and by doing so it can help move organelles and and helpful/harmful chemicals to where they need to be in the cell.

If an important cytoplasmic determinant were missing from an animal zygote, what would you expect to happen as the zygote develo
Strike441 [17]

Answer: Option E - One of the animal’s major body axes would fail to develop normally.

Explanation:

Cytoplasmic determinants help the organs of the embryo to develop.

Hence, absence of cytoplasmic determinants would result in one of the animal’s major body axes failing to develop normally.

The right answer is B

A primary producer corresponds, in an ecosystem, to an autotrophic living being, that is to say capable of producing organic matter from mineral matter. It is the first element of the food chain. This organism is totally or partially ingested by a primary consumer, itself being the potential target of secondary consumers.

Decomposers are living creatures that contribute to the degradation of dead organic matter or feces by returning them in mineral form. They play a crucial role in an ecosystem because they participate in the recycling of the elements.

Niemann–Pick disease is a fatal lysosomal storage metabolic disorder caused by an autosomal recessive allele. A couple, both of
icang [17]

Answer:

E. 27/64

Explanation:

Knowing that the couple is heterozygous (Aa) for Niemann-Pick disease, they can have children with the following pairs of alleles:

A x A = AA (Dominant homozygous - Unaffected)

A x a = Aa (Heterozygous - Unaffected)

a x A = Aa (Heterozygous - Unaffected)

a x a = aa (Recessive homozygous - Affected)

So each allele pair has a probability of:

AA = 1/4

Aa = 1/4

Aa = 1/4

aa = 1/4

As the disease only affects recessive homozygous individuals (aa), the probability of an unaffected child being born is 3/4.

Since the couple expects to have three children, the probability of neither being born with the disease is obtained by multiplying the probability of each, as follows:

3/4 * 3/4 * 3/4 = 27/64

Thus, it is concluded that the probability of none of the children having Niemann-Pick syndrome is 27/64.
