Let's take 1/5 as an example. Okay so percents are usually x/100. So what times 5 equals 100? 20! So we multiply both the top and bottom by 20. 1 x 20= 20 and 5 x 20= 100. So it would be 20/100 as a fraction. Now since a percent is out of 100, then you just take the 20 as a percent. The answer to this would be 20%. Now for numbers that don't easily go Into 100. Let us look at 2/3. You would have to divide 2 by 3 which is .6666. Now put decimal two places to the right. Percent is 66%

Hi ,  you have to divide the numerator and the denominator , if you get a decimal you just have to move the period 2 spaces to the right.
For example
3/8 -0.375
0.375 - 37.5

<em><u>Pattern B</u></em>

Sequence: 1, 2, 5, 10

First Differences: 1, 3, 5

Second Differences: 2, 2 . . . . constant indicates a 2nd-degree (quadratic) sequence

<em><u>Pattern C</u></em>

Sequence: 1, 3, 9, 27

First Differences: 2, 6, 18

Second Differences: 4, 12 . . . . each set of differences has a common ratio, indicating an exponential (geometric) sequence
