Answer:

a)Domain is all positive integers.

b)C(2000)=$7600

c) For C(x)<10000,  less than 3846 items should be manufactured.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that cost function is C(x)=5000+1.3x, where x is the number of manufactured items.

a) The domain of C(x) means the range of values x can take. Since x is the number of manufactured items, it cannot be negative and fraction.

Hence domain is all positive integers.

b)To find the cost of 2000 items, we should plugin x=2000 in C(x).

That is cost of 2000 items, C(2000)=5000+1.3(2000)=5000+2600=$7600

c) We are asked to find the number of items such that cost is kept below 10,000 that is C(x)<10000

            5000+1.3x<10000

Subtract 5000 from both sides

                     1.3x<5000

Divide with 1.3 on both sides

                    x

                     x<3846.2

Hence number of items must be less than 3846 for C(x)<10000

Andy is solving a quadratic equation using completing the square. If a step in the process results in 169/9 = (x – 6)2, could th
natta225 [31]
Yes the equation can be solved by factoring. Using the given equation take the square root of both sides. Both 169 and 9 are perfect squares so the left side becomes plus or minus 13/3 which is rational. Six plus 13/3 is also a rational number. If the solutions of a quadratic equation are rational then the equation is factorable. Please mark a good rating and brainlest

Nonamiya [84]
Answer: 35

Explanation: If patty has $21, and $3 is the price for 5 hat pins, then: 21/3=7, so she can buy 7 packages which cost $3 and contain 5 pins, and because the question asked the number of pins, we will multiply 7 • 5 and that equals 35

Expand 3(x+ 2.3) <br> Expand 1/3(9x-12)
Snezhnost [94]

Answer:

3x+6.9 and 3x-4

Step-by-step explanation:

since 3 x x is 3x and the sign in the bracket is addition you place it there then place 3 x 2.3

being 6.9.

1/3 x 9is 9/3 and 3 can multiply both sides to get 3/1 or 3 then bring the minus and 1/3 x 12 is 12/3 3 can multiply both sides to get 4/1 or 4
