Ankle Sprain occurs and such injuries to the ligaments or tendons of the ankle happen during athletic events.   <span>A </span>sprained ankle<span> is an injury that occurs when you roll, twist or turn your ankle in an awkward way. </span>The best remedy for the sprain is to put ice to keep down the swelling.  Rest your ankle by not walking on it and e<span>levate the foot by reclining and propping it up above the waist or heart as needed.</span>
