Answer:

92 inches squared

Step-by-step explanation:

T/P = 8 * 3

L/R = 3 * 2

F/B = 8 * 2

Solving for surface area!

2(24) + 2(6) + 2(16) = 92

Part A: What is the ratio of the number of students receiving a C and the number of students receiving an A? * 1:4 6:1 4:1 3:1 P
Lady bird [3.3K]

Answer:

a. 4 : 1

b. 2 students

c. 3 : 1

Step-by-step explanation:

a. There were 12 students who got a C and 3 students who got As. The ratio is therefore:

12 : 3

Take it to the lowest form by dividing both sides by 3:

= 4 : 1

b. There were 4 students with a D grade and 8 with a B. The ratio is:

= 4 : 8

Taken to the lowest form that would be:

= 1 : 2

This means that for every student receiving a D, 2 students received an A.

c. 12 students received a C and 4 students received a D. That ratio is therefore:

= 12 : 4

Take to the lowest form by dividing both sides by 4:

= 3 : 1

If the supplement of <1 is 32º less than the measure of <1, what is m<1? a 1060 b 74o c 61o d 29o
rosijanka [135]

Answer:

a. 106 degrees

Step-by-step explanation:

m=measure of angle 1; m-32 degrees=measure of supplement

m+(m-32 degrees)=180 degrees Add 32 degrees to each side.

2m=212 degrees Divide each side by 2

m=106 degrees ANSWER: The measure of angle 1 is 106 degrees

CHECK:

106+(106-32)=180

106+74=180

180=180

8. A model airplane is shot into the air. Its path is approximated by the
rjkz [21]

Here is another one of those " quadratic word problems " at hand, which is great!

By the function that is given to us ( which I believe is meant to be h(t) = - 5t^2 + 251 ) the airplane is launched at a height of 251 metres, with no velocity. Anyhow, we need to determine the duration with which the airplane will strike the ground, and to do so we can set up the following equation, - 5t^2 + 251 = 0 - solving for t, otherwise known to be the time!

See the procedure below -

-5t^2+251=0 - Subtract 251 from either side,

-5t^2=-251 - Divide either side by - 5,

t^2=\frac{251}{5} - And, now isolate t, receiving two solutions,

t=\sqrt{\frac{251}{5}},\:t=-\sqrt{\frac{251}{5}}

However, time can't be a negative value. Thus our solution is \sqrt{251 / 5}, which is ( about ) 7.085 seconds!
