"A Wrinkle in Time is a book about the battle between good and evil and the ultimate triumph of love. ... Many of the book's central messages are contained in the lessons of life that Meg must learn in order to successfully complete her quest. First, she must learn to overcome her desire for conformity and appreciate her own uniqueness as an individual.'' ( http://www.sparknotes.com/lit/wrinkle/section13/ )

Why would aunt harriet kill herself and her baby, the chrysalids?
Gekata [30.6K]

Answer:

Aunt Harriet did not kill herself or the baby, though it does seem like it at first. If you read the pages carefully, Joseph Strorm kills her actually. In the pages after Harriet leaves, David's mom says she will pray for gods forgiveness for Harriet, but J.strorm talks about the heresies of women, how they can get away with it but he says how aunt Harriet won't get away with it this time. The page after, David says how they found aunt Harriet's body in a river, his dad mentioned her in his prayers but never again. This implies murder.

In the following lines, the author compares a bobolink to a ______________ to describe the liveliness of the bird's song.
Brut [27]
Hey
(づ。◕‿‿◕。)づ

The Correct Answer(S) Is - A. Fountain

The words the author uses (including the actual word 'fountain') represent how bubbly and lively the bobolinks are. The words 'gushing' and 'gurgling' are sounds a fountain makes, and when the author says the birds are 'pouring forth floods of sweet notes' it is like the way a fountain pours out water.
