If f(x) = (x^1/2 - x)

Well, you are subtracting g(x) from f(x) so:

√x-x-(2x^3-√x-x) which is:

√x-x-2x^3+√x+x  (you have your signs wrong at the bottom of your post)

Now you would simply combine like terms (do your addition and subtraction of like terms)

-2x^3+2√x

So the answer is D.

Sistema de ecuaciones.5x+2y=-152x-2y=-6
Zolol [24]

Tnemos el sisema de ecuaciones:

\begin{gathered} 5x+2y=-15 \\ 2x-2y=-6 \end{gathered}

Podemos resolverlo por eliminación sumando ambas ecuaciones y eliminando y. Asi podemos resolver para x:

\begin{gathered} (5x+2y)+(2x-2y)=(-15)+(-6) \\ 7x+0y=-21 \\ x=-\frac{21}{7} \\ x=-3 \end{gathered}

Ahora podemos resolver para y con cualquiera de las dos ecuaciones:

\begin{gathered} 2x-2y=-6 \\ 2\cdot(-3)-2y=-6 \\ -6-2y=-6 \\ -2y=-6+6 \\ -2y=0 \\ y=0 \end{gathered}

Respuesta: x=-3, y=0

A civic group is selling bumper stickers as a fundraiser. During the first week, they sold 500 bumper stickers. During the secon
UkoKoshka [18]

Answer:

<em>The third week they sold $375 in bumper stickers</em>

Step-by-step explanation:

<u>Proportions and Percentages</u>

During the first week, the civic group sold 500 bumper stickers as a fundraiser.

During the second week. they sold 50% more bumper stickers than the first week. First, we calculate the increment of 50% of 500:

50% 500 = 50 * 500 / 100 = 250

Thus the second week they sold:

500 + 250 = 750 bumper stickers

Now we know the third week they sold 50% fewer than the second week.

Again, we calculate the 50%, but this time on the basis of 750, and not 500 bumper stickers:

50% 750 = 50 * 750 / 100 = 375

Thus the third week they sold:

$750 - $375 = $375

The third week they sold $375 in bumper stickers
