Let x be the number of questions worth 2 points and y the number of questions worth 4 points.

X•2+y•4=100 points
X+ y=40 questions

X=40-y substitute in the first equation
(40-y)•2+4y=100
80-2y+4y=100
2y=100-80=20 so y=20/2=10
So x=40-10=30

There are 30 questions worth 2 points and
10 questions worth 4 points.

Verify 30•2+10•4= 60+40=100 ✔️

x for 2 pointquestion y for 4 point question

x+y=40

2x+4y=100

x=40-y

80-2y+4y=100

2y=100-80

2y=20

y=10

x=40-10=30

Given: In the given figure, there are two equilateral triangles having side 50 yards each and two sectors of radius (r) = 50 yards each with the sector angle θ = 120°

To Find: The length of the park's boundary to the nearest yard.

Calculation:

The length of the park's boundary (P) = 2× side of equilateral triangle + 2 × length of the arc

or,                    (P) = 2× 50 yards + 2× (2πr) ( θ ÷360°)

or,                    (P) = 2× 50 yards + 2× (2×3.14× 50 yards) ( 120° ÷360°)

or,                    (P) = 100 yards + 2× (2×3.14× 50 yards) ( 120° ÷360°)

or,                    (P) = 100 yards + 209.33 yards

or,                    (P) = 309.33 yards ≈309 yards

Hence, the option D:309 yards is the correct option.

Find the 5th term of the sequence in which T1=8 and Tn=3t n-1
yan [13]
T_n = 3 * T_(n-1)

Long way (always works!)
T_5 = 3*T_4,
T_4 = 3*T_3
T_3 = 3*T_2
T_2 = 3*T_1

T_5 = 3*3*3*3*T_1 = 81*T_1 = 81*8 = 648!

Short way (sometimes it works!)

T_n = 3^(n-1) * T_1 (this case is a geometric series of ratio-=3)
T_5 = 3^4*8 = 648

What is the equation of y = x^3 with the given transformations? Vertical stretch by a factor of 3, horizontal shift 4 units to t
givi [52]

Answer:

y = 3(x - 4)^3 - 3

Step-by-step explanation:

A vertical stretch factor 3 is given by 3x^3.  Horizontal shift 4 to the right is given by 3(x - 4)^3. Finally we  add -3 to this function to move it 3 units down.

Answer is y = 3(x- 4)^3 - 3
