A crate is 3/4 yard long and 2/3 yard wide. The crate is also 2 feet tall. What is the area of the top of the crate?

So 3/4 × 2/3 = 17/12 because you take 3/4 and put = and see what 3 and 4 least common denominator and then the same with 2/3. Then from 3/4 I got 9/12 and 2/3 I got 8/12 then I added that and got 17/12, but then times 2 so I did 2/1 × 17/12 and got 34/12 and simplify and it would be 17/6 or 17/12.
