The simple definition of reflex is the sudden movement that occurs when it responds to a stimulus in the body. This movement is without any conscious thought beforehand.

For example, you are facing one way and a ball gets thrown toward you from behind. If you have fast enough reflexes, you will sense the ball coming from behind and turn around to catch it.

Best of Luck!

Solve for X (round to the nearest hundred)
LekaFEV [45]

Step-by-step explanation:

We use tangent because it uses opposite over adjacent.

So,

tan 33 = x/46

or

46 * tan 33 = x

Type this into the calculator and you get around 29.87

klasskru [66]

Answer:

7. 37

8. 74

9. 402

10. 74

Step-by-step explanation:

You can simplify the expressions and then do the substitution of the variable value, or you can simply plug in the numbers and do the arithmetic. Either way takes about the same effort.

7. 3(5·4 -1) -4(3·4 -7) = 3·19 -4·5 = 57 -20 = 37

8. 3(5·4 -6) +4(20 -3·4) = 3·14 +4·8 = 74

9. 5(10r +3) -7r = 50r +15 -7r = 43r +15 = 43·9 +15 = 402

10. 4(5r -3) -2(6r -7) = 20r -12 -12r +14 = 8r +2 = 8·9 +2 = 74

Hi There!

Answer:

C) 1/2 (x+5) = 36

Step-by-step explanation:

Multiply 2 too both sides:

1/2 * 2 (x + 5) = 36 * 2

(x + 5) = 72

Subtract 5 too both sides:

x + 5 - 5 = 72 - 5

Simplify:

x = 67

Hope This Helps :)

Mr. Doyle mowed 2\5ths of his lawn. His son mowed 1\3rd of it. Who mowed most of the lawn? How much of the lawn still needs to b
kondor19780726 [428]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Dad: 2/5

Son: 1/3

Who mowed most of the lawn? Dad, of course. 2/5 is larger than 1/3. 2/5 is 40% and 1/3 is 33.333%

How much of the lawn still needs to be mowed?

2/5 + 1/3 + X = 1 [1 means the whole lawn. X is the remaining portion.]

6/15 + 5/15 + X = 1 [Convert each fraction so that they have a com,mon denominator. This also shows that 2/5 (6/15) is larger than 1/3 (5/15).

11/15 + X = 1

X = 1 - 11/15

X = 4/15 left to be mowed.

How much does Mr. Doyle have left to mow?

We'll assume each rate is the same, 2/5 for Dad and 1/3 for son.

4/15 left to be mowed.

Dad will mow 2/5 of 4/15, so (2/5)*(4/15) = 8/75 left of the original yard

Son will mow 1/3 of 4/15, so (1/3)*(4/15) = 4/45 left of the original yard
