Answer:

1.274 H

Explanation:

using

V = XLI...................Equation 1

Where V = voltage, XL = Inductive reactance, I = current.

Make XL the subject of the equation

XL = V/I.............. Equation 2

Given: V = 6.00 V, I = 3.00 mA = 0.003 A

Substitute into equation 2

XL = 6/0.003

XL = 2000 Ω

But,

XL = 2πFL............... Equation 3

Where F = Frequency, L = inductance.

Make L the subject of the equation

L = XL/(2πF).............. Equation 4

Given: F = 250 Hz, XL = 2000 Ω

Constant: π = 3.14

L = 2000/(2×3.14×250)

L = 2000/1570

L = 1.274 H.

How can parallax allow us to determine the distance to a star
tensa zangetsu [6.8K]

Answer:

Astronomers use a method similar to the one you used with your homemade quadrant. Twice the distance to the Sun, divided by the distance to the star (which is unknown so far) is equal to the tangent of the parallax angle of the star.

An electric toaster has a power rating of 1100 W at 110 V. What is the resistance of the heating coil?
Semmy [17]

 R = 11 ohms

Explanation:

Given parameters:

Power of the electric toaster = 1100W

Voltage = 110V

Unknown:

Resistance, R of the heating coli = ?

Solution:

Electric power is given as:

     Electric power = IV

where:

  I is the current

  V is the voltage

       According to Ohm's law, V = IR

 where R is the resistance. If we make current the subject of the formula and substitute, it gives:

                  Power = \frac{[tex]V^{2}}{R}[/tex]

  Power =  \frac{[tex]110^{2}}{R}[/tex]

     R = \frac{Power }{[tex]110^{2}}[/tex] =  \frac{1100 }{[tex]110^{2}}[/tex]

   R = 11 ohms

Which of the following is the reason that a fixed pulley makes work easier?
kherson [118]

<u>Answer</u>

  • A fixed pulley is one of many simple machines that can make work easier. In the fixed pulley system, we pull down on one side of the rope and the other side goes up. Here the pulley can change the direction of force on a rope or belt that moves along its circumference.
  • we use the same amount of force to pull down as we lift the toy ourselves.
