Use 3.14 for the value of , and round your answers to two decimal places, where applicable. If the diameter of a circle is 15 m,
sergejj [24]

if the diameter of a circle is 15, its radius is half that or 7.5.

\bf \textit{area of a circle}\\\\ A=\pi r^2~~ \begin{cases} r=radius\\[-0.5em] \hrulefill\\ r=7.5 \end{cases} A=\pi (7.5)^2\implies A=56.25\pi \implies \stackrel{\pi =3.14}{A=176.625}

Original price:$29.99;markdown: 33 1/3%<br> Find the retail price
-Dominant- [34]
33.3%, move the decimal to the left twice to make it easier. then multiply 29.99 by .333. take that and subtract it from 29.99. I got 20, I'm not sure if that's right though

Mrs lane took a survey of the types of pants her students were wearing. She collected the data of the types of pants her student
kirill [66]
It is always important to go through the given problem first to get a concept of the requiremement. Then all the information's available from the question has to be noted down in such a manner that there would be no need to look at the question while solving.
Total number of students wearing jeans = 10
Total number of students wearing shorts = 9
Total number of students wearing capris = 2
Then the total number of students surveyed by Mrs Lane = (10 + 9 + 2)
                                                                                            = 21
Now percentage of students wearing shorts = (9/21) * 100
                                                                       = (3/7) * 100
                                                                       = 300/7
                                                                       = 42.85 percent
So a total percentage of 42.85% of the students were wearing shorts.
