Answer:

3w + 52 ≥ 90

Step-by-step explanation:

If she volunteers 3 hours per week for w weeks, then the number of hours from tutoring is 3w.  Add the 52 hours from her summer volunteering, and her total hours is 3w + 52.  This needs to be at least 90 hours for her to graduate, so:

3w + 52 ≥ 90

The sum of 6 times a number and 8 times another number is 12. The difference of those numbers is 9. What are the two numbers
Inga [223]

Answer:

(x,y): (6 , -3) or (-30/7 , 33/7)

Step-by-step explanation:

6x + 8y = 12

x = y + 9 or   y = x+ 9

if x = y+9

6*(y+9) + 8y = 12

14y = -42

y = -3 and x = 6

if y = x+9

6x + 8*(x+9) = 12

14x = -60

x = -30/7   and y = 33/7

Write and solve a real-world problem that can be represented by the expression (-3)(5)+10.
Blizzard [7]

Hi!

(-3)(5)+10

-15+10

=-5

<u>Explanation: </u><u><em>This question is about math, and this lesson is about order of operations. I will give you a hint. You had to used PEMDAS, P-Parenthesis should be go first, E-Exponents, M-Multiply, D-Divide, A-Add, and S-Subtract. If you use multiply, divide, add, or subtract it should go left to right. First, you had to multiply and divide should go left to right. And it gave us -15+10.  And finally, you should add and subtract by left to right. And it gave us -5 is correct answer. Hope this helps! Thank you for posting your question at here on Brainly. And have a great day. -Charlie</em></u>

Determine whether each function is an example of exponential growth or decay. then find the y-intercept. y=0.01(10)^x
olya-2409 [2.1K]
To determine if it is growth or decay, you just look if the y increases or decreases as x gets bigger. in this case as x gets bigger then y gets bigger, so it is growth.

to get y intercept, plug in 0 for x.and see what y equals. so:

y = 0.01(10)^0

anything raised to the zero power is 1. so:
y = 0.01 (1)
y = 0.01

that is y intercept.

Which vector matrix represents the reflection of the vector &lt;-1,5&gt; across the line x = y
Arturiano [62]

Answer:

V = \left[\begin{array}{ccc}5&-1\end{array}\right]

Step-by-step explanation:

We want to reflect this 2x1 vector on the line y = x.

To make this reflection we must use the following matrix:

R=\left[\begin{array}{cc}0&1\\1&0\\\end{array}\right]

Where R is known as the reflection matrix on the line x = y

Now perform the product of the vector <-1,5> x R.

\left[\begin{array}{ccc}-1\\5\end{array}\right]x\left[\begin{array}{ccc}0&1\\1&0\end{array}\right]\\\\\\\left[\begin{array}{ccc}-1(0) +5(1)&-1(1)+5(0)\end{array}\right]\\\\\\\left[\begin{array}{ccc}5&-1\end{array}\right]

The vector matrix that represents the reflection of the vector <-1,5> across the line x = y is:

V = \left[\begin{array}{ccc}5&-1\end{array}\right]
