What are the benefits and drawbacks to using solar, geothermal, and wind power as alternative sources of energy

The benefits are that you don't have to rely on limited resources and you won't be contribution to global warming but the drawbacks are that you have to find a way to make it run by itself and deal with it not working sometimes.

Geothermal:
Pros:
Geothermal: •Geothermal energy is generally considered environmentally friendly and does not cause significant ammunition of pollution.
•Great for heating and cooling- even small house holds can benefit.
•Geothermal energy is available anywhere, although only some resources are profitably exploitable.
Cons:•Geothermal power plants can in extreme cases cause earthquakes.
•Heavy up front costs.
• Only sustainable if the reservoirs are properly managed.

Wind power:
Pros:
•Affordable
•Clean energy source
•Creates power with out using fossil fuels.
