C. There are many solutions
4(5)-1=19
4(10)-1=39

I agree...C is the answer.  Anytime you put in a value for X, you get a different Y answer, so yes, there are many answers.  The other answer gives you two examples using x = 5 and x = 10.  You could also substitute any other number for x and get a different y answer; an infinite number of x's and y's actually.

VARVARA [1.3K]

Answer:

If the equation is in the form, ax + b = c, where x is the variable, you can solve the equation as before. First “undo” the addition and subtraction, and then “undo” the multiplication and division. Solve 3y + 2 = 11. Subtract 2 from both sides of the equation to get the term with the variable by itself.

Answer: x = 20

A scientist measured the energy of a system and found that it was increasing. The data shown represent the energy taken every bi
DiKsa [7]

At start ( t = 0 nanoseconds ) :

E ( t = 0 ) = 2.645 J

E ( t = 1 ) = 6.290 J

E ( t = 1 ) : E ( t = 0 ) = 6.290 : 2.645 = 2.37

Also:

E ( t = 2 ) : E ( t = 1 ) = 14.909 : 6.290 = 2.37

E ( t = 3 ) ; E ( t = 2 ) = 35.335 : 14.909 = 2.37

Therefore, the formula for calculating the energy of the system is:

E ( t ) = 2.645 * 2.37 ^ t

The answer is 4) exponential growth.

Angle m∠1 if formed by a tangent and  secant intersecting outside of circle. The intercepted arcs are arc LK and arc JK.
Thus;
Angle formed by Tangent and secant
=1/2(DIFFERENCE of Intercepted Arcs)
