Answer: D. He becomes even more desirous of the other camels.

Explanation:

Baba-Abdalla was a wealthy man who owned 80 camels which he loaned out to travellers as well as using it to travel himself. On one of these trips he meta Dervish who told him of a huge amount of treasure. They agreed to load the treasure on the camels and divide them equally.

After this was done however, Baba-Abdalla got greedy and coveted the treasure the Dervish had taken. He easily convinced him to part with 10 camels and as soon as he got them, and considering how easily he had gotten them, Baba-Abdalla immediately became more desirous of the other camels.

What became of the Eastern Roman Empire after the collapse of the Western Roman Empire?
Lera25 [3.4K]

Answer:

The Eastern Roman Empire tried to recapture the west.

Explanation:

However, this entirely depends on what time period is designated by "after". "After", implies anything that occurs after the given event.

1) The Eastern Roman Empire did in fact fall to foreign invaders, particularly the Ottoman Empire, who brought cannons and large amounts of manpower to lay siege on Constantinople. Constantinople fell within 55 days as a guard gate was left unlocked and breached by Ottoman soldiers.

2) The Eastern Roman Empire did in fact become the Byzantine Empire in 1557, however, it was first called so in 1453. It was named after the Greek colony that became the capital city of the Empire, Constantinople.

3) The Eastern Roman Empire did in fact try to recapture western territories, particularly after the fall of the Original Roman Empire. This was termed as the Gothic Wars, in which the Eastern Roman Empire fought the Goths who had taken over original Roman lands, and they were successful in retaking Italy, Corsica & Sardinia, as well as ancient Carthaginian lands.

However, it is important to note that the dissolvement into small kingdoms did not occur, and if it did, it was not as drastic. Most, if not all, previous Byzantine lands was occupied by the Ottoman Empire following their successful takeover of Constantinople.
