Answer: The value of K_c for given reaction is 0.465

Explanation:

We are given:

Initial concentration of A = 0.650 M

Initial concentration of B = 1.35 M

Initial concentration of C = 0.300 M

Equilibrium concentration of A = 0.550 M

Equilibrium concentration of B = 0.400 M

For the given chemical equation:

                           A+2B\rightarrow C

Initial:                0.65     1.35     0.30

At eqllm:        0.65-x   1.35-2x   0.30+x

Evaluating the value of 'x'

0.650-x=0.550\\\\x=0.100

So, equilibrium concentration of B = 1.35 - 2x = [1.35 - 2(0.100)] = 1.15 M

Equilibrium concentration of C = (0.30 + x) = (0.300 + 0.100) = 0.400 M

The expression of K_c for above equation follows:

K_c=\frac{[C]}{[A][B]^2}

Putting values in above equation, we get:

K_c=\frac{0.400}{0.650\times (1.15)^2}\\\\K_c=0.465

Hence, the value of K_c for given reaction is 0.465

The density of gold is 19.3 g/cm³. What is the mass of 11.3 cm³ of gold?
telo118 [61]

Answer:

218.09g

Explanation:

the formula for density is mass/volume

you have volume so rlly what you have is 19.3g/cm3=m/11.3cm3

so mass equals density x volume

and 19.3 x 11.3 = 218.09

A sample of an iron ore is dissolved in acid, and the iron is converted to Fe2+. The sample is then titrated with 47.20 mL of 0.
Shalnov [3]

Answer:

33.21% is the right answer.

Explanation:

0.04720 L * 0.02240 mol / L = 1.0573*10-3

mol Fe+2 = 1.0573* 10-3 mol = 5.2864*10-3

mass of Fe= 5.2864 * 10-3  = 0.29522g

% of Fe in sample = 0.29522 g Fe / 0.8890 g of sample * 100 = 33.21%

The following Lewis diagram represents the valence electron configuration of a main-group element. This element is in group 2A A
Paraphin [41]

Answer: The symbol of the ion formed is Ca^{2+}

Explanation:

An ion is formed when a neutral atom looses or gains electrons.

  • When an atom looses electrons, it results in the formation of positive ion known as cation.
  • When an atom gains electrons, it results in the formation of negative ion known as anion.

Electronic configuration is defined as the representation of electrons around the nucleus of an atom.

Number of electrons in an atom is determined by the atomic number of that atom.

The element present in Group 2-A and in period 4 is Calcium (Ca)

Electronic configuration of Ca atom: 1s^22s^22p^63s^23p^64s^2

This atom will loose 2 electrons to attain stable electronic configuration similar to Argon element (noble gas)

The electronic configration of Ca^{2+}\text{ ion}=1s^22s^22p^63s^23p^6

Hence, the symbol of the ion formed is Ca^{2+}

How is a hydrogen bond different from an ionic or covalent bond?
o-na [289]

Answer:

Hydrogen bonds are totally different to both covalent bonds and ionic bonds. Hydrogen bonds are intermolecular bonds, that means they occur in between two molecules. ... When H atom is close to O,F, N atoms those atoms can attract H atoms electrons temporarily, thus making a weak bond.
