Answer:

We are given that:

\cos 2x=\tan ^2y---------(1)

Now we are asked to show that:

\cos 2y=\tan ^2x

We know that:

\cos 2y=\dfrac{1-\tan ^2y}{1+\tan ^2y}

Hence using equation (1) we get:

\cos 2y=\dfrac{1-\cos 2x}{1+\cos 2x}--------(2)

Also we know that:

\cos 2x=1-2 \sin ^2x

and \cos 2x=2 \cos ^2x-1

so using above two formula in equation (2) we get:

\cos 2y=\dfrac{1-(1-2\sin ^2x)}{1+2\cos ^2x-1}\\\\\cos 2y=\dfrac{1-1+2\sin ^2x}{2\cos ^2x}\\\\\cos 2y=\dfrac{2\sin ^2x}{2\cos ^2x}\\\\\cos 2y=\tan ^2x

( since we know that:

\tan x=\dfrac{\sin x}{\cos x}

)

Hence we have proved that:

\cos 2y=\tan ^2x

A name brand cereal is on sale and costs $4.50 for an 18.2oz box. The great value brand version of the cereal costs $4.03 for a
KengaRu [80]

Answer:

You do 4.50 divided by 18.2 and that equals 0.25 cents Pero oz and then you do 4.03 divided by 13.1 which that equals 0.31 cents per oz which that would mean the name brand cereal that’s on sale cost less Per oz

What is the sum of all even numbers between 1 and 1000
weeeeeb [17]
There are 500 even numbers from 1 to 1000 starting with 2 and ending with 998. The sequence of even numbers is an arithmetic sequence with a common difference of 2. Using the equation for the arithmetic series,

                                       S = (a1 + an)(n/2)
and substituting,

                                        S = (2 + 998)(500/2)
we get,

                                        S = 250,000

Therefore, the sum of all even numbers between 1 and 1000 is 250,000.

Hurry! A FedEx freight truck carries three tons of packages 660 miles on 90 gallons of diesel fuel from Miami, Fl to Atlanta, Ga
artcher [175]

(a) Truck carries 90 gallons of diesel fuel to 660 miles.

So, 1 gallon of diesel fuel to 660/90 = 22/3 miles.

30 gallons of diesel fuel to 30()\frac{22}{3} = 220 miles.

Hence, if x-axis represents the number of miles and y-axis represents the number of gallons, then, (660, 90) and (220, 30) are points on the graph.

Join (660, 90) and (220, 30), we get the graph of a line.

Note that (0, 0) is also a point on the line.

Equation of the line is y=\frac{22}{3} x.

(b) x represents the number of miles. Therefore, the possible values for x is the closed interval [0, 660].

Hence, the domain of the function is [0, 660].

(c) Origin represents that the truck is not moving and there is no diesel fuel loaded in the truck.
