Answer:

I would choose "cervical cancer" as a health topic. I would convey this message through health education. I'd volunteer teaching people, especially girls, in order for them to become fully aware on how they can prevent contracting the cancer.

Explanation:

Cervical cancer is a cancer of the cervix. The cervix is that part of the female reproductive system that serves as a passageway for menstrual blood and sperm (during intercourse). Many young ladies nowadays are sexually active, thus I deemed it necessary to raise awareness the issue of "cervical cancer" on them. This cancer is caused by the human papillomavirus, also called the "HPV." This is a very common sexual infection that can actually be prevented.

In order to do this, I will raise awareness by doing health education in the form of classroom meetings or seminars. I'd happily volunteer to let them know everything about the cancer. I'd focus on the anatomy of the reproductive system and health, going to the pathophysiology of the cervical cancer. Then, I can teach them the preventive measures, so they don't get affected in the future.

Cervical cancer can be prevented through vaccination (HPV vaccine). This can be be administered to kids as young as 9 years of age going through 26. It is advisable to have this vaccine before they become sexually active. It is also important to do the Papanicolaou test in order to check the presence of any precancerous or cancerous cells in the cervix.
