Answer:

39.8 m

Explanation:

Let h be the required height and t be the time to reach the egg which was thrown later on. The egg thrown earlier took ( t +2.2) s , with initial velocity zero to cover distance of h.,

So

h = 1/2 g( t +2.2)²

For the egg thrown with velocity of 58 m/s

h = 58 t + 1/2 g t²

Equating these two equations

1/2 g( t +2.2)²  =  58 t + 1/2 g t²

1/2 g ( t² + 4.4 t + 4.84 ) = 58 t + 1/2 g t²

58 t = 21.56 t + 23.716

t = .65 s

h = 1/2 x 9.8 x (2.2+.65)²

h = 39.8 m

A 10-kg piece of aluminum sits at the bottom of a lake, right next to a 10-kg piece of lead, which is much denser than aluminum.
zalisa [80]

Answer:

Aluminium

Explanation:

When a body is immersed in a liquid partly or wholly it experiences an upward force which is called buoyant force.

The amount of buoyant force depends on the volume of body immersed, density of liquid and the value of acceleration due to gravity.

Here, the density of liquid is same in both the cases and g be the same. So, here the amount of buoyant force depends on the volume of body immersed.

As the density of lead is more than the density of aluminium, so the volume of aluminium is more than lead, as volume is equal to mass divided by density. So, the buoyant force acting on the aluminium is more than lead.

You are traveling at 100 km/hr to make it to work on time. You have to be to work in .25 hr or you will be late. You have 16 km
alexgriva [62]

Answer: Yes

Explanation:

Velocity V is defined as the distance traveled d in a specific time t:

V=\frac{d}{t}

If you are traveling at V=100 km/h a distance d=16 m, then the time it will take you to be at work is:

t=\frac{d}{V}=\frac{16 km}{100 km/h}

t=0.16 h

This means you will make it on time, because this time is less than 0.25 h.

Gravity on earth is 9.8 m/s squared, and gravity on the moon is 1.6 m/s squared. So if the mass of an object on earth is 40 kilo
garik1379 [7]

The mass of an object on Earth is the same as its mass on the Moon. The weight is different.

Weight = m * g

Weight ( Moon ) = 40 kg * 1.6 m/s² = 64 N

If the mass of an object on Earth is 40 kg, its mass on the Moon is 40 kg and its weight on the Moon is 64 N.
