The point of this equation is to figure out the value of the y variable. to do this, you'll need to get the y variable by itself on one side of the equation.

so first you would add 6.9 to 3.18.
the equation would now look like this:
4.8y=10.08

you would then divide 4.8 by 10.08. this is the last step to getting the y varible by itself on one side of the equation and ultimately the value of y!
the equation now looks like this:
y=2.1

y=2.1 is you answer!
Good luck!

4.8y - 6.9 = 3.18
4.8y= 3.18 + 6.9 (I added 6.9 to both sides)
4.8 y = 10.08 (I added 3.18 by 6.9)
y = 2.1 (I divided 4.8)

Hope this helps!!

If f(x) = 2x2 - x, find f(-3).
jonny [76]
F(x) = 2x^2 - x
if x=-3

f(-3) = (2*(-3)^2) - (-3)
f(-3) = (2*9) + 3
f(-3) = 18 + 3
f(-3) = 21

Zina [86]

Answer:

The answer is 50.27 yards.

Step-by-step explanation:

You divide the diameter in 2, which gives you the radius of 4. Then you must square the radius, or multiply it twice, 4 times 4, to get 16. Then multiply that by pi or 3.14, which is 50.27. Hope this helped and please give brainliest if possible! :)

Let f (x)=1/x and g (x)=x^2+5x. A. Find (f×g)(x). B. Find the domain and range of (f×g)(x).
Ira Lisetskai [31]

we are given

f(x)=\frac{1}{x}

g(x)=x^2+5x

(A)

(f×g)(x)=f(x)*g(x)

now, we can plug it

(fXg)(x)=\frac{1}{x} (x^2+5x)

we can simplify it

(fXg)(x)=\frac{1}{x} (x(x+5))

(fXg)(x)=x+5

(B)

Domain:

Firstly, we will find domain  of f(x) , g(x) and (fxg)(x)

and then we can find common domain

Domain of f(x):

f(x)=\frac{1}{x}

we know that f(x) is undefined at x=0

so, domain will be

(-\infty,0)∪(0,\infty)

Domain of g(x):

g(x)=x^2+5x

Since, it is polynomial

so, it is defined for all real values of x

now, we can find common domain

so, domain will be

(-\infty,0)∪(0,\infty)..............Answer

Range:

Firstly, we will find range of f(x) , g(x) and (fxg)(x)

and then we can find common range

Range of f(x):

f(x)=\frac{1}{x}

we know that range is all possible values of y for which x is defined

since, horizontal asymptote will be at y=0

so, range is

(-\infty,0)∪(0,\infty)

Range of g(x):

g(x)=x^2+5x

Since, it is quadratic equation

so, its range will be

[-6.25,\infty)

now, we can find common range

so, range will be

(-6.25,0)∪(0,\infty).............Answer
