4x + 2y = 8

When x = -2:     4x + 2y = 8
                      4(-2) + 2y = 8
                          -8 + 2y = 8
                        + 8         + 8
                                 2y = 16
                                  2      2
                                   y = 8
                             (x, y) = (-2, 8)

When x = 1:   4x + 2y = 8
                    4(1) + 2y = 8
                        4 + 2y = 8
                      - 4          - 4
                              2y = 4
                               2     2
                                y = 2
                          (x, y) = (1, 2)

When x = 3:    4x + 2y = 8
                     4(3) + 2y = 8
                       12 + 2y = 8
                     - 12        - 12
                               2y = -4
                                2      2
                                 y = -2
                          (x, y) = (3, -2)
