Answer:

The correct answer is: 'increasing atomic number'.

Explanation:

In the modern periodic table the elements are arranged in increasing order of their atomic numbers.An atomic number of an element represents the number of protons present in the nucleus of an atom of that element.

In modern periodic table elements are placed in 18 groups that is vertical columns and in 7 periods that is horizontal rows.

The element ins same group has similar chemical properties. Where as elements in same period has same number of energy levels or shells.

Which compound plays an important role in leather processing and electroplating?
Margaret [11]

Answer;

  • Hydrochloric acid

Explanation;

  • Hydrochlorc acid plays a vital role in leather processing and electroplating.
  • Hydrochloric acid has a number of important applications in real life these includes; fertilizers, and dyes, textile, in electroplating, rubber and in the photographic industries.
  • Electroplating is the process that involves coating a metal using another metal for the purpose of improving their appearance or preventing rusting.
  • Hydrochloric acids is used in the processing of leather or the tanning of leather process, in which tanneries use the acid to stop the growth of bacteria and also maintain proper pH.

The heating element of a hair dryer dissipates 1500 w when connected to a 180 v outlet. part a what is its resistance?
Sophie [7]

The resistance of the heating element is 21.61 Ω

Given

The power dissipated = 1500 W

Voltage = 180 V

We know that

Power = Voltage * Current

⇒ Power / Voltage = Current

⇒ 1500 W/180 V = Current

⇒ 8.33 A = Current

In order to calculate the resistance of the heating element. We Have to apply the formula

Power = (Current)^2 * Resistance

⇒ Resistance = Power / (Current)^2

⇒ Resistance = 1500 W/ (8.33) ^2

⇒ Resistance = 21.61 Ω

Hence the resistance of the heating element is 21.61 Ω

How many milliliters of 0.0630 m edta are required to react with 50.0 ml of 0.0110 m cu2 ?
gizmo_the_mogwai [7]
Moles Cu+2 = M * V
                     =  0.05 L * 0.011  m
                     = 0.00055 moles

when the molar ratio of Cu2+: EDTA = 1:1 so moles od EDTa also =0.00055 moles

and when the Molarity of EDTa = 0.0630 M

∴ Volume of EDTA = moles / Molarity
                 = 0.00055 / 0.0630
                 = 0.0087 L = 8.7 L
