Answer:

acculturation

Explanation:

Acculturation is the social, psychological and cultural process by which a person assimilates, acquires and adopts the prevailing culture of a society. Here the individual balances two cultures and adapts to the dominating one. This is seen in the above example as John adapts to the Brazilian lifestyle and culture even though he is an American who was born and bred in America. He balances the two cultures and adapts to the culture in Brazil since he lives and works here now

OLEGan [10]
George Washington Carver was a scientist and botanist who sought to solve the agricultural problems of the American south. As a result of the single-crop system in use where most farmers planted only tobacco or cotton, the soil had been depleted of the necessary nutrients. Carver discovered that if new crops, rich in nitrogen and proteins, were planted the soil would recover.

He petitioned the Southern farmers to plant soybeans, sweet potatoes, and peanuts. These crops grew well and solved the problem of the soil, however, there was no market for their sale. Carver tried to solve this problem by establishing a market for these goods by finding new uses for the plants, specifically peanuts, and sweet potatoes.

What is mentoring?

Mentorship is defined as a mentor's influence, guidance, or direction. A mentor is someone who teaches or provides assistance and advice to a less experienced, often younger, individual. A mentor influences a mentee's personal and professional growth in an organizational setting.

Preparation, negotiating, enabling growth, and closure are the four stages of a successful mentoring relationship. These sequential phases vary in length and build on each other. There are specific steps and strategies that lead to mentoring excellence in each phase.

Mentoring is associated with improved academic, social, and economic prospects for those who receive it. Mentoring relationships can help to develop leadership and management skills, expand a mentor's professional network, and provide an empowering opportunity to give back.
