I don’t understand the other comment but do this
1)4x+6y=12 and subtract 4x from both sides
2) 6y= 12-4x. Then divide each side by 6
3) y= 2 -4/6 x.
-4/6 x is your slope. So simplify it to -2/3 and that’s your answer

In 2015, eighty-seven babies per one thousand died before reaching one year of age. This figure is called the infant mortality rate.

Infant mortality is defined as a child dying before turning one. The number of newborn deaths for every 1,000 live births is known as the infant mortality rate. The infant mortality rate is a significant indicator of the general health of a society in addition to providing us with valuable information on maternal and baby health. In the United States, there were 5.4 infant deaths for every 1,000 live births in 2020.

What is the equation of the line x–3y=18in slope-intercept form?
Alekssandra [29.7K]

Answer:

y=\frac{1}{3} x-6

Step-by-step explanation:

Write down the slope-intercept form:

y=mx+b

Where m is the slope and b is the y-intercept.

To turn the equation into slope-intercept form, isolate y on the left-hand side:

x-3y=18\\-3y=18-x\\y=-6+\frac{x}{3} \\

Rearrange the equation a bit:

y=\frac{1}{3} x-6
