Louise begins factoring the polynomial, which has four terms.
ad-work [718]

Louise wants to factorize completely the given polynomial 4x^{3}+12x^{2}+5x+15

Grouping first, second terms together and third, fourth terms together

= 4x^{3}+12x^{2}+5x+15

Taking 4x^{2} common from first and second terms of the given expression and taking 5 common from the third and fourth terms.

==4x^{2}(x+3)+5(x+3)

Taking (x+3) common from the given expression,

==(4x^{2}+5)(x+3) is the completely factored form.

Which function has the greatest rate of change?<br>plzzz help ASAP
Andreyy89
The answer is A because the rate of change is 7.
You can find this by writing it from standard form to slope intercept (y = mx+b).

B is 6, C is 5, and D is also 5 (all lower than 7)

Find the perimeter of quadrilateral PQRS with the vertices P(2,4), Q(2,3), R(-2,-2), and S(-2,3).
storchak [24]

Answer:

P=16.53\ units

Step-by-step explanation:

we know that

The perimeter of quadrilateral PQRS is equal to the sum of its four length sides

the formula to calculate the distance between two points is equal to

d=\sqrt{(y2-y1)^{2}+(x2-x1)^{2}}

we have

the vertices P(2,4), Q(2,3), R(-2,-2), and S(-2,3)

step 1

Find the distance PQ

P(2,4), Q(2,3)

substitute in the formula

d=\sqrt{(3-4)^{2}+(2-2)^{2}}

d=\sqrt{(-1)^{2}+(0)^{2}}

d=\sqrt{1}

dPQ=1\ unit

step 2

Find the distance QR

Q(2,3), R(-2,-2)

substitute in the formula

d=\sqrt{(-2-3)^{2}+(-2-2)^{2}}

d=\sqrt{(-5)^{2}+(-4)^{2}}

dQR=\sqrt{41}\ units

step 3

Find the distance RS

R(-2,-2), and S(-2,3)

substitute in the formula

d=\sqrt{(3+2)^{2}+(-2+2)^{2}}

d=\sqrt{(5)^{2}+(0)^{2}}

dRS=5\ units

step 4

Find the distance PS

P(2,4), S(-2,3)

substitute in the formula

d=\sqrt{(3-4)^{2}+(-2-2)^{2}}

d=\sqrt{(-1)^{2}+(-4)^{2}}

dPS=\sqrt{17}\ units

step 5

Find the perimeter

P=PQ+QR+RS+PS

substitute the values

P=1+\sqrt{41}+5+\sqrt{17}

P=6+\sqrt{41}+\sqrt{17}

P=16.53\ units

Fill in the blanks:
ser-zykov [4K]

Answer:

8943=8\times 1000+9\times 100+4\times 10+3\times 1=8\times 10^3+9\times 10^2+4\times 10^1+3\times 1

So in blanks there will be 8, 9, 4, 3

Step-by-step explanation:

We have given that 8943=.....\times 1000+....\times 100+....10+....1=....10^3+....10^2+....10^1+....1

We have to fill the blanks

We know that 8\times 1000=8000

9\times 100

4\times 10

3\times 1

When we add all then

8000+900+40+3=8943

So in the blanks there will be 8 , 9, 4 , 3

We also know that 8000=8\times 10^3

900=9\times 10^2

40=4\times 10^1

3\times 1=3

So 8943=8\times 1000+9\times 100+4\times 10+3\times 1=8\times 10^3+9\times 10^2+4\times 10^1+3\times 1
