Answer:

$9,400

Explanation:

The computation of deductible expenses is shown below:-

Airfare = $400

Lodging = $300 × 5

= $1,500

Meals = $150 × 5

= $7,500

Total deduction = Airfare + Lodging + Meals

= $400 + $1,500 + $7,500

= $9,400

Therefore for computing the total deduction we simply add airfare, lodging and meals and hence the total deduction is $9,400

rosijanka [135]

Answer:

IBM could either diversify by the strategy of market penetration, which consists in increasing the market share in a particular sector (in this case, cloud computing) through more marketing efforts.

Or it could integrate horizontally, acquiring a possible competitor that is more advanced in the cloud-computing business. Or even a start-up with good prospects, because with the amount of capital that IBM has, it could more easily expand the start-up operation as a new internal business division.

Which of the following fiscal policy action would cause the economy to contract?
maksim [4K]
This is a tricky question, because most of the answers provided are correct. For instance, by raising taxes, the government drops down the demand rates, as well as by decreasing the money supply (in that case, it also prevents economy from falling into an inflating situation). As for balancing the budget, this economical move entails decreasing the public expenditure and, therefore, contracting the demanding economical figures too.
