Answer:

Total finance charge be when the loan is repaid is 1154832 cents.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : Paul has an eight-year loan with a principal of $26,900. the loan has an interest rate of 8.18%, compounded quarterly. if Paul pays $1,527 in service charges and makes quarterly payments on his loan

To find : What will his total finance charge be when the loan is repaid? Round all dollar values to the nearest cent.

Solution :

Quarterly payment, Q=\frac{\text{Amount}}{\text{Discount factor}}

Discount factor D=\frac{1-(1+i)^{-n}}{i}

Where, Amount = $26,900

Rate r= 8.18%=0.0818 compounded quarterly

i=\frac{0.0818}{4}=0.02045

Time = 8 years

n=8\times4=32

Now, put all the values we get,

D=\frac{1-(1+i)^{-n}}{i}

D=\frac{1-(1+0.02045)^{-32}}{0.02045}

D=\frac{1-(1.02045)^{-32}}{0.02045}

D=\frac{1-0.5231}{0.02045}

D=\frac{0.47680}{0.02045}

D=23.315

Quarterly payment, Q=\frac{\text{Amount}}{\text{Discount factor}}

Q=\frac{26900}{23.315}

Q=1153.76

Now payment he has for for 8 years compounded quarterly i.e, for 32 months

Payment = 1153.76 × 32 = $36920.32

Total interest = Payment - amount

                      = 36921.32 - 26900

                      = $10021.32

Finance charge = Total interest + service charge

                          = 10021.32 + 1527

                          = $11548.32

1 dollar = 100 cents

$11548.32 = 11548.32 × 100 = 1154832 cents

Total finance charge be when the loan is repaid is 1154832 cents.

What value of x is in the solution set of 2(4+2x)>5x+5
Serggg [28]

Answer:

x < 3

Step-by-step explanation:

2(4+2x)>5x+5

Distribute

8 +4x > 5x+5

Subtract 4x from each side

8 +4x-4x > 5x-4x+5

8 > x+5

Subtract 5 from each side

8-5 > x+5-5

3 > x

X must be less than 3

jenyasd209 [6]

Answer:

i)

the standard deviation of this data is 2.2

ii) 84%

Step-by-step explanation:

We have been informed that the data represented by the graph is normally distributed and adheres to the 68-95-99.7 rule. This implies that we shall be dealing with the applications of the empirical rule.

In a normal distribution, the mean is also the mode as well as the median of the distribution. This implies that the mean is at the center of the distribution. In our case, the mean is 4.8. The vertical lines represents data points that lie 1, 2 and 3 standard deviations away from the mean.

From the graph, both 11.4 and -1.8 lie 3 standard deviations away from the mean on either side. We can thus use the following equation to solve for the unknown standard deviation;

mean + 3(sigma) = 11.4

where sigma is the standard deviation.

our mean is 4.8, therefore;

4.8 + 3(sigma) = 11.4

3(sigma) = 6.6

sigma = 2.2

ii)

In order to determine the percentage of the population that will fall below the mark of 7, we shall first determine how many standard deviations away from the mean the value 7 lies.

To do this, we can use the following equation;

4.8 + n(2.2) = 7

2.2n = 2.2

n = 1

Therefore, the data point 7 lies one standard deviation away from the mean to the right.

The percentage of the population that will fall below one standard deviation away from the mean is;

68 + 13.5 + 2.35 = 83.85%

Using the empirical rule

Need help with this math question!!!!!!!!!
exis [7]

ANSWER

The vertex is (1,-3)

EXPLANATION

The given parabola has equation:

{y}^{2}  + 6y + 8x + 1 = 0

We group the variables to obtain:

{y}^{2}  + 6y  =  -  8x -  1

We complete the square to get,

{y}^{2}  + 6y  +  {3}^{2}  =  -  8x -  1 +  {3}^{2}

{(y+ 3)}^{2}  =  -  8x +8

{(y+ 3)}^{2}  =  -  8(x  -1)

The vertex is of the parabola is (1,-3)
