2x-4y=0 -x+2y=1 trying to solve

Mathematics

So you have your equations: 2x-4y=0 and -x+2y=1

Depending on the variable you want to take out, depends on how your equation will be set up, but, I'm going to take out X.

With the first equation you subtract 2x from 0 which leaves you with -4y=-2

Divide the sum and you get a positive 2x.

Plug 2 into X on the following equation, it should look like this. -2+2y=1. This time you're trying to find Y so, add 2 to 1 and you get 2y=3. Divide this and it should give you a decimal.

Let x be the number of minutes Andrew uses per month and f(x) be the charges based on Andrew's cell phone plan. If  then If  then first 300 minutes are free and each minute of next (x-300) minutes costs $0.39, therefore Hence, { 19 + 0.39(x - 300), x > 300

Answer:

1. y² - 3x - 18

2. 4x² - 33x + 35

3. 12x² - 11x + 2

Step-by-step explanation:

All we do with these questions are expanding the factored binomials. Use FOIL:

1. y² + 3y - 6y - 18

y² - 3y - 18

2. 4x² - 28x - 5x + 35

4x² - 33x + 35

3. 12x² - 3x - 8x + 2

12x² - 11x + 2
