Answer:

//Abstract class declaration of Account

public abstract class Account{

   //nextId initialized to 10001

   private static int nextId = 10001;

   private int id;

   private String name;

   // constructor with one argument

   public Account(String passName){

       name = passName;

       //assign the value of nextId to id

       id = nextId;

       //nextId is incremented

       nextId++;

   }

   // accessor method to return id

   public int getId(){

       return id;

   }

   // accessor method to return name

   public String getName(){

       return name;

   }

   //abstract method that return object of type Cash

   //It is not implemented here.

   //It will be overriden and implemented by concrete subclassed

   public abstract Cash getValue();

}

Explanation:

The abstract class Account is defined with the keyword abstract. Then inside the class, we declared and initialized an integer static variable nextId, an instance variable id and a String instance variable name.

A constructor is then defined which accept one argument of a string passName.

Two accessor methods getId and getName are declared. getId return an integer id, while getName return a string name.

Finally, an abstract method getValue is declared with no implementation and it return an object of type Cash.

Clunker Motors Inc. is recalling all vehicles in its Extravagant line from model years 1999-2002 as well all vehicles in its Guz
Soloha48 [4]

Answer:

boolean recalled;

((modelYear>=1999 && modelYear<=2002 && modelName=="Extravagant") || (modelYear>=2004 && modelYear<=2007 && modelName=="Guzzler")) ? recalled = true : recalled =false

Explanation:

Using a combination of comparison operators and logical operators, the conditions stated in the question is captured in the code snippet with the boolean variable recalled also declared. Since we are not allowed to use the if statement, we have used the conditional or ternary operator that checks if a condition is true executes the statment that follows the question mark else it executes the statement after the full colon.

Which IT job role best describes an individual who develops primarily server-side Web applications?
Hoochie [10]
Hi!

This is most likely going to be a back-end web developer. A back-end web developer focuses on the server-side scripting behind Web applications.

They will also have extensive knowledge regarding the database used for the application at hand!

Hopefully, this helps! =)

Print either "Fruit", "Drink", or "Unknown" (followed by a newline) depending on the value of userItem. Print "Unknown" (followe
vagabundo [1.1K]

Answer:

I am writing a C++ program. Let me know if you want the program in some other programming language. Here is the portion of the code:

if((userItem == GR_APPLES) || (userItem == GR_BANANAS)){

 cout << "Fruit";   }

else if((userItem == GR_JUICE) || (userItem == GR_WATER)){

 cout << "Drink";  }

else{

 cout << "Unknown";  }

cout << endl;

Explanation:

The IF statement is used to check the defined options with the value in the userItem.

If the value of the userItem is GR_APPLES OR GR_BANANAS then Fruit is printed as the output. || represents a logical operator OR so this means that userItem can be either the GR_APPLES or GR_BANANAS for the If condition to evaluate to true.

If the above condition evaluates to false then the else-if part will be checked next. So the else if checks if the value in the userItem is GR_JUICE or GR_WATER. If userItem contains either of these two then Drink is displayed on the screen as output.

If the else-if statement also evaluates to false then the else part is executed which displays Unknown.

The cout<< endl; statement in the last is used to print the new line. For example if the output is Unknown then it is followed by a new line.

In the given program userItem is set to GR_APPLES

GroceryItem userItem = GR_APPLES

So the output of the whole program is Fruit followed by a new line.

The screenshot of the code along with the output is attached.
